Siemens Enterprise Communications Appoints Henning Rehder Chief Financial Officer
Industry veteran brings strong record of achievement in sales, services and customer satisfaction
RESTON, Va., Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Siemens Enterprise Communications, a premier provider of enterprise communications, today announced the appointment of Henning Rehder as Chief Financial Officer. As a member of the senior executive team, Rehder will report to Chief Executive Officer Hamid Akhavan and will have direct responsibility for finance, treasury, audit and compliance, performance controlling, information technology and mergers and acquisitions.
"Henning's extensive experience with strategic growth, metrics-driven performance management and establishing value-based business practices will be a real asset as we continue to grow our market share and solidify our leadership position in unified communications," Akhavan said. "As a member of my direct staff, Henning will be instrumental in helping the company achieve our growth and financial targets."
Rehder joins the company from Unilever, with nearly 30 years of executive experience in finance, treasury and mergers and acquisitions for multiple divisions. In his recent roles, some key achievements have included identifying new business opportunities to dramatically increase the company's growth, quickly and effectively reallocating resources to reflect rapidly changing external factors in a particularly competitive market environment, and a complete review of the acquisition target portfolio to align to the company's new strategic agenda.
"In this challenging economic climate, Siemens Enterprise Communications has continued to drive technological innovation and pursue strategic growth opportunities globally," Rehder said. "I look forward to putting my experience to work to help the company continue on its successful growth path to solidify its global leadership position."
Rehder will be based at the company's offices in Munich.
Rehder replaces Stephen Jones as CFO, who has served in this position since the creation of the joint venture between the Gores Group and Siemens AG in October 2008. Jones will remain a leading executive within the finance organization and assist with Rehder's transition. During the past few years, Jones has been instrumental in the transformation of Siemens Enterprise Communications, including consolidating global operations, resetting cost structure, as well as many other measures which strengthened the company's financial organization and performance. The company thanks him for his many contributions.
