LAS VEGAS, April 25, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, American Humane, the country's first national humane organization and the world's largest certifier of animal welfare and well-being, announced that Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage achieved certification by the American Humane Conservation program for animal welfare. The Las Vegas facility passed a rigorous third-party audit to become the first facility in the western continental United States to earn the program's prestigious Humane Certified™ seal of approval.

The American Humane Conservation program is the first certification program devoted solely to helping ensure the well-being and humane treatment of animals living in zoos, aquariums, and conservation centers worldwide. The program enforces comprehensive, evidence-based standards of animal welfare developed by world-renowned leaders in the fields of animal science, animal behavior, animal ethics, and conservation.
