PENSACOLA, Fla., Oct. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to the devastating damage of recent hurricanes surrounding the Gulf Coast, Shrimp Basket Restaurants teamed up with guests to raise funds and make a difference during the month of September. Shrimp Basket announced today their donation of nearly $9,000 to hurricane disaster relief efforts.
Guests had the option to make an in-restaurant donation to the American Red Cross in increments of $1, $5 or $10. Additionally, on Tuesday, September 5th all guests who dined at any of the twenty-eight casual dining restaurants partnered with Shrimp Basket on their mission to assist victims of the recent hurricanes. A portion of all sales proceeds was donated directly to the American Red Cross.
One hundred percent of donations collected have been donated to the American Red Cross. Donations will provide meals, shelter, basic supplies, financial support and more to aid in the recovery process.
