Short-Term Transportation Bill is Not Enough - Cities Need Long-Term Solutions

WASHINGTON, July 15, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National League of Cities (NLC) encourages the House and Senate to pass a short-term extension for transportation funding and quickly put forth a long-term transportation program. Clarence Anthony, Executive Director of the National League of Cities, released the following statement:

"We appreciate Chairman Shuster's efforts and leadership in finding a short-term solution to prevent the Highway Trust Fund from becoming insolvent.
