Before joining Shopatron, Morrison served as CFO at Shop.com, an online marketplace and comparison-shopping site. At Shop.com Morrison directed all financial and administrative activities and managed the company's acquisition by Market America Worldwide in December 2010. Previously, he spent four years as CFO at Heller Ehrman, a large international law firm. Morrison was also the CFO of Consolidated Freightways, a publicly traded shipping and logistics company with revenues over $4 billion.
"Dave is an accomplished financial professional and is a tremendous asset for a high-growth company like Shopatron," said Shopatron Founder and CEO Ed Stevens. "He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the internet retail space and in logistics, which is a perfect combination for Shopatron and our leading cloud-based order management solutions. Best of all, Dave is a perfect fit for Shopatron's world-class customer experience culture."
"This year, we are launching three of the most significant new initiatives in our company's history. We expect Shopatron's growth to accelerate, and we would not be surprised if it absolutely exploded. We are excited to have Dave on board as we continue to grow rapidly in our exciting market space."
"I have been impressed with the level of professionalism I've seen at Shopatron," said Morrison. "This company has a winning strategy in place and a lot of the processes needed to scale to a very large size. That said, there is plenty of work ahead. It's going to be a lot of fun to be part of Shopatron's growth in the coming years."
