SHFL entertainment Advances Interactive Initiatives: Hires Industry Pro Nick Gabriel to Oversee its New Gibraltar Office

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SHFL entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ Global Select Market: SHFL) ("SHFL" or the "Company") announced today that it hired iGaming expert Nick Gabriel to oversee online operations at its newly established Gibraltar hub. The Company also announced its Gibraltar subsidiary has received a Remote Gambling License from the Government of Gibraltar Licensing Authority.

As Head of Online Gaming for SHFL, Gabriel is based in SHFL's new Gibraltar offices, where he will oversee the Company's provision of its iGaming business-to-business (B2B) operations throughout Europe.  Over the course of the next twelve months, SHFL intends for this office to continue to grow as the home base of its expanding Gibraltar-based iGaming sales, compliance and operations teams.  Remote gaming servers that deploy SHFL's elastic cloud have been set up at the Gibraltar office to serve the Company's proprietary casino games - including Three Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold 'Em, and Casino War - to its B2B partners. 

Gabriel is a renowned iGaming professional with over 12 years of experience in building, operating and selling online casino, poker and social gaming systems. He previously served as President of Duelring Ltd., an online player-to-player social gaming platform.  Prior to Duelring, Gabriel was the Head of Development and Product Strategy for Mansion, an Internet gaming operator.  Earlier in his career, Gabriel lived in southern California and held Chief Technology Officer and Chief Financial Officer roles with a variety of gaming software, Internet and entertainment firms.
