Sherwin-Williams Releases Case Study Highlighting the Success Story of Filtration Group
KENOSHA, Wis., Nov. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sherwin-Williams recently released a case study describing how the company utilized the products and services from Filtration Group to troubleshoot the overspray efficiency issues for a name brand guitar manufacturer. The primary objective of the guitar manufacturer was to better manage airflow and quality in their finishing operation. However, they faced two major issues. Firstly, due to excessive paint overspray in the process, the operators were replacing the filters too frequently. Secondly, the local vendor was not able to deliver the required technical and field support.
Sherwin-Williams supplied the polyester undercoat sealer to the process, and Filtration Group was asked to troubleshoot the overspray efficiency issue on a trial basis. After a thorough evaluation of the existing filter samples, Filtration Group recommended the use of different types of filters to achieve the desired efficiency. A three-month long trial run with Filtration Group products was conducted using a set of cube filters, panel filters, and customized blankets.
The team made plans to organize the stocking and timely delivery of the complete filtration solution on a monthly basis. The blankets were changed six times a day per booth. The panel filters were replaced every five to seven days. Whereas, the cube filters were changed once a month. This trial run was extremely successful in terms of reliability and performance. The trial of products from Filtration Group yielded high efficiency as per the requirement of the client.
