Shell to Headline Licensing Expo's Motorsports Cafe
Licensing Expo announces Shell as the sponsor of The Motorsports Cafe
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Global energy company Shell has signed on as the headline sponsor of the newly created motorsports feature area at Licensing Expo 2014, the world's largest and most influential tradeshow dedicated to brand, character, entertainment, fashion and art licensing. Set for June 17-19 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev., the trade show connects more than 15,000 retailers and licensees with 5,000 of the industry's most powerful and recognizable intellectual properties in all product categories.
"As a sustainable energy company with global brand awareness, we are thrilled to announce that Shell will be the official sponsor The Motorsports Cafe," says Jessica Blue, vice president, Licensing Expo. "The motorsports area is a brand new highlight for the 2014 show and one that will add value and excitement to attendees' experience at Licensing Expo 2014. The brands featured within the Motorsports Cafe will not only showcase all things motorsports, but will offer exceptional licensing and brand extension opportunities as well."
The 5,500-square-foot Motorsports Cafe will be centrally located within the Brands & Agents zone and will educate attendees about motorsports and the benefits of motorsports licensing. Several of the top sanctioning bodies in the motorsports industry including The National Hot Rod Association and SCORE International Off Road Racing will also take part by featuring racing cars and drivers. Licensing Expo will further partner with motorsports experts RACE Motorsports Marketing, Inc. and Hot Import Nights to organize and promote this new feature of the show floor.
"Shell's first year at Licensing Expo promises to be a spectacle. The Motorsports Cafe Sponsored by Shell, coupled with our two booths, will showcase how Shell and innovation are simply inseparable. We are seeking licensees across multiple categories, from car care to apparel, and cannot wait to see the opportunities that will arise," says Jack Stokes, licensing manager, TSBA AG, Shell's licensing agent.
Attendees will find additional motorsports companies on exhibit at Licensing Expo such as Polaris Industries, Lamborghini and Dorna Sports.
The Brands & Agents zone at Licensing Expo is home to household and name brands and the agents that represent them. The zone is one of five merchandized areas designed to facilitate the connection between attendees and exhibitors: Characters & Entertainment, Brands & Agents, Art & Design, Fashion & Lifestyle and Sourcing & Production. More than 5,000 brands are showcased at Licensing Expo each year, and of those, 1,800 are from consumer goods categories such as automotive, household, publishing, sports, food and beverage, corporate and non-profit.
