Sheetz Customers Come Through for Haiti
Company Matches Donations to Help Quake Victims
ALTOONA, Pa., March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Sheetz and its customers are donating more than $56,000 to help victims of the devastating January 12th earthquake in Haiti. During the month of February, customers gave $28,359.37 to the relief effort. Sheetz is matching that total, bringing the final figure to $56,718.74. All proceeds are going to the Red Cross.

The donations were collected in special boxes displayed at all 368 Sheetz stores in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina. The Sheetz collection boxes are normally dedicated to Special Olympics, but have also been used to help victims of major catastrophes such as Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the Pacific tsunami of 2004.
