ALTOONA, Pa., May 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sheetz, family-owned convenience retailers will open a new location in High Point, NC, on May 7th. The store will give people in High Point a new location for great food and drinks. The celebration will include prizes, food, drinks, games and free coffee for a limited time at the new location.
On May 7, 2015, employees at the High Point Sheetz store will cut the ribbon and open the doors at 11:00 a.m. together with locals, city and county officials. The grand opening will take place at the new store, located at 3350 North Main Street High Point, NC.
"Sheetz is experiencing remarkable growth companywide and we have done a tremendous amount of growth in the North Carolina market," says Ryan Sheetz. " North Carolina is a great fit for us and we look forward to our continued growth in North Carolina. Sheetz opened our 500th store in Thomasville and opened a second distribution center in Burlington last November. We have a great base of loyal customers here and we thrilled to be a part of the communities in North Carolina."
The new store will feature the same award-winning MTO® food menu, ready to eat entrees and fresh baked goods as all other Sheetz locations and will each create 30 new full and part-time jobs.
During Thursday's celebration attendees will enjoy free food, drinks, games and the first 100 customers will receive prizes. "We try to make all of our openings fun for everyone with lots of activities, games and samples of Sheetz food and drinks," Sheetz says.
As part of the grand opening, Sheetz will make a donation of $2500 to Special Olympics North Carolina, a cause that is valued by the company and employees. Sheetz has been a proud supporter of the Special Olympics for more than 20 years with both financial and product support as well as providing event volunteers.
Sheetz is connected to the communities each store serves. The Sheetz For the Kidz® annual holiday event has provided more than 85,000 underprivileged children with new toys, clothes and necessities each holiday season since 1992. Sheetz partners with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, sending over 40 families of seriously ill children on dream vacations to Disney World each year. In addition, Sheetz partners with the Special Olympics and a local food bank in communities where Sheetz is located, donating time, food and funds.
The new Sheetz will be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and will offer fresh food such as Angus beef burgers, premium grilled chicken sandwiches, freshly made salads, French fries, onion rings and more. The new store will also feature our MTGo! and Shweetz Bakery lines of sandwiches, wraps, donuts and muffins, along with Sheetz Bros.
