Sharp Manufacturing Company of America Promotes Michael Kelly to Senior Vice President
With more than 30 years of experience at Sharp, Michael Kelly takes the top position overseeing Sharp's Home Appliance manufacturing facility in Memphis, TN
MONTVALE, N.J., July 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sharp is pleased to announce that Michael Kelly has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Sharp Manufacturing Company of America (SMCA). Employed by SMCA since 1984, and quickly moving up the ranks from Mechanical Design Engineer, Kelly understands the needs of the division and is prepared for Sharp's expansion in the Home Appliance space.
In his new role, Kelly will be responsible for overseeing Sharp's manufacturing facility in Memphis, TN that supplies the Microwave Drawer™ and other cooking products under the Sharp brand as well as to strategic OEM partners. Kelly will report to Jim Sanduski, President of Sharp Home Electronics Company of America (SHCA).

Kelly's promotion is one of two executive announcements. Shotaro Watanabe, previous head of SMCA, is returning to the North American Product Planning Department, a part of the Kitchen Appliance Division of the Yao factory of Sharp Corporation in Japan.
