MAHWAH, N.J., Sept. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, introduces the new Pro Series MX-6500N and MX-7500N color document systems, which round out Sharp's high-speed, high-volume product lineup, offering speeds of 65ppm and 75ppm respectively. These new models are the perfect fit for Print On-Demand environments such as Central Reprographics Departments (CRD) and In-Plant print shops where productivity, consistent high image quality and ease-of-use are essential. Further enhancing the Pro Series is the advanced MX-PE10 EFI™ Fiery® Server option, unleashing the full potential of the Sharp print engines.
The MX models provide multifunction versatility with unique key features that enhance operability and maintain consistent results page after page, job after job, with stunning image quality and increased reliability. Full-bleed booklets are printed with ease and made possible by Sharp's unique edge-to-edge printing capability. The tight integration of the powerful MX-PE10 Fiery Sever with Command WorkStation® job management interface and the Sharp 15.4" touch-screen provides unmatched control and ease-of-use and virtually eliminates the need for multiple workstations, an industry first. Amongst the stringent requirements in the On-Demand print market, the ability to run a wide range of media reliably and with professional results is paramount. By means of Sharp's exclusive triple air-feed paper handling option, customers can rest assured their media requirements are fulfilled with optimum performance and dependability.
"As businesses seek to gain control of their outsourcing costs without sacrificing quality, the Print On-Demand market will continue to see production work trickle down from traditional printing methods to digital," said Mike Marusic, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Solutions Group, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. "The Sharp Pro Series was developed to satisfy these needs by providing production class features with multifunction versatility, reducing costs while providing professional results in-house."
Integration
Driven by the EFI Fiery MX-PE10 option, the new Sharp Pro Series Color Document Systems feature full integration and industry leading control with the latest EFI Fiery Command WorkStation, allowing all print jobs to be managed directly on Sharp's large 15.4" high-resolution touch-screen display. The same display also serves as the main operation panel for the Pro Series. Both the MX-6500N and the MX-7500N models offer the option to be driven by a Fiery MX-PE10 running the latest Fiery FS100 Pro system software.
"This integration combines Sharp's unique feature set with EFI's high performance Fiery technology for a complete solution to fulfill the demands of today's print professionals," said Marusic.
"EFI is excited to work with Sharp to create the unique, highly advanced printer and workflow integration offered on the Sharp Pro Series," said John Henze, Vice President, Fiery marketing, EFI. "Customers will find they can do more, in less, time, with better quality and reliability by bringing proven Fiery production technologies into this new class of Sharp products."
