Sharp Electronics Combines U.S. Manufacturing, Marketing, And Services & Solutions Groups Under New Umbrella To Better Serve American Market

MONTVALE, N.J., Feb. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sharp is pleased to announce today the newly formed Sharp Home Electronics Company of America (SHCA), a division established to integrate the previously separate divisions of SEMCA (Sharp Electronics Marketing Company of America), SMCA (Sharp Manufacturing Company of America) and SSG (Services and Solutions Group). Jim Sanduski, previous President of SEMCA, has been appointed President of the new division.

This organizational change aims to enhance Sharp's U.S. Home Electronics business – from manufacturing, to sales & marketing, to after-service – thereby increasing operational efficiencies and overall profitability. The integration also strengthens localized product planning and marketing, allowing for full utilization of both factory engineering resources and market information.

As the newly appointed President of SHCA, Jim Sanduski will lead the new division reporting directly to Mr. Albregts. Additionally, department heads Shotaro Watanabe of SMCA and Toru Yakura of SSG will now report directly to Mr. Sanduski.
