ShareTracker Acquires GeoResults
With acquisition ShareTracker adds market insights
ASHLAND, Mo., Nov. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- ShareTracker, the largest U.S. market research company dedicated to telecom market share and FlowShare measurement products and analytics, announced today that it has acquired the telecom marketing database firm, GeoResults.
ShareTracker has long supported the communications industry by delivering accurate FlowShare measurement, a technology-based approach for determining telecom market share and customer movement between competitors. The acquisition allows ShareTracker to not only measure what happened in the market, but explain who changed providers and why it happened.
"With this acquisition, ShareTracker is gaining new products and services that strengthen our current product offerings as we continue to deliver accurate data that helps guide strategic business decisions," said Eric Fogle, ShareTracker president. "GeoResults has a proven track record of solid, steady growth. It has unique products that are hard to duplicate and an extensive satisfied customer list we are excited to serve."
Adding GeoResults builds on ShareTracker's existing wireless and wireline FlowShare measurement tools by offering new products such as telecom boundary products and more robust telecom databases.
"The combination of ShareTracker and GeoResults enables synergies between the companies which will allow new products and services to be created that would not be possible as separate entities," said Ted Shields, GeoResults president and CEO.
GeoResults, founded in 2001, is the leading provider of telecom intelligence information. The company supplies telecom-enabled residential and business databases and consulting that focus on national telecom database products and customized telecom solutions. It also specializes in designing customized data, analysis reports and producing telecom boundary products. GeoResults' data is the industry's best due to its wide-ranging series of data cleansing and verification processes to enhance the overall quality and usability of the information provided.
The two companies' data sets are very complementary. With the combined databases, ShareTracker can now track all 120 million households and 30 million business locations in the U.S., with more frequent data updates. In addition, the telecom-enabled databases enable ShareTracker to deliver additional insights and depth within the enterprise market, as GeoResults has significant expertise in this area.
GeoResults' suite of telecom database products will be integrated into ShareTracker's existing portfolio upon completion of the transaction. The expanded ShareTracker portfolio allows the company to provide clients with more robust market analytics and trends across all wireless and wireline services to homes and businesses.
The GeoResults acquisition marks the second in the telecom space for ShareTracker with its financial partner RLJ Credit in the last 18 months. ShareTracker first acquired market and FlowShare measurement products from an American global information and measurement company in March 2014.
Fogle said the FlowShare measurement products acquisition was about purchasing complementary products and consolidating network-based measurement IP. For GeoResults, this transaction brings clients the ability to accurately track and measure the success of using GeoResults data for sales campaigns through FlowShare measurement.
GeoResults will continue to operate in Cumming, Georgia, as GeoResults, a ShareTracker Company.
