MCLEAN, Va., Nov. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Recognizing that there is nothing quite like the thrill of opening a gift, the Paper and Packaging – How Life Unfolds™ campaign, in partnership with Macy's, offers shoppers the chance to send joy and excitement to children spending the holidays in local hospitals. The #sharepackage program encourages holiday shoppers to give back by filling a prepaid, pre-addressed box for their local children's hospital. Gift givers are guided by a list of items suggested by the hospitals and printed on the #sharepackage boxes.
The Paper & Packaging – How Life Unfolds™ campaign, will distribute 25,000 #sharepackage boxes at nine Macy's holiday events across the country. The #sharepackage boxes will be available beginning Nov. 7 with the lighting of Macy's Great Tree and opening of Macy's Santaland in Chicago, and will include Santalands in Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Seattle and Portland, Oregon, as well as at the holiday tree-lighting ceremonies in Atlanta, Boston and San Francisco. Gift givers are encouraged to share the holiday spirit with others by posting their #SharePackage moment on social media and to see how others experienced the giving at www.howlifeunfolds.com/sharepackage.
"The Paper and Packaging - How Life Unfolds™ campaign recognizes how paper and packaging bring people together during the holidays and how essential they are to holiday events and giving," said Mary Anne Hansan, Paper and Packaging Board executive director.
