Shareholder Alert: Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman, LLC Reminds Investors of Class Action against Hanger, Inc. and Lead Plaintiff Deadline of January 12, 2015
NEW YORK, Nov. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Attorney Advertising -- Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman, LLC reminds investors that a securities class action has been filed in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas on behalf of those who purchased shares of Hanger, Inc. ("Hanger" or the "Company") (NYSE:HGR), during the period between August 1, 2013 and August 7, 2014, inclusive (the "Class Period").
The Complaint charges Hanger and certain of its executives with violations of federal securities laws. The complaint alleges during the Class Period defendants misrepresented and/or concealed the effect that an increase in Medicare audits had on Hanger's business, including on its reserves for bad debt and accounts receivable. Then on August 7, 2014, Hanger announced a shocking 23% decline in its earnings per share due to the pressure it experienced from Medicare audits.
On this news, Shares of Hanger fell 25% from $29.87 per share to $22.48 per share.
Plaintiff seeks to recover damages on behalf of all shareholders who purchased shares of Hanger during the Class Period described above.
No Class has yet been certified in the above action. Those who inquire by e-mail are encouraged to include their mailing address and telephone number.
