Shareablee Social Scorecard Reveals Top 10 Media Publishers for December 2014
TIME, M Magazine enter the Top Ten for the first time since August

NEW YORK, Jan. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading social media benchmarking and audience analysis firm, Shareablee Inc., released the monthly Media Publisher Edition of its Shareablee Social Scorecard. Of the Top Ten, M Magazine had the highest engaged social audience growth (25 percent), followed by TIME (21 percent). VERANDA leads the category in audience loyalty with 57 percent of its Facebook fans returning to engage with the publisher's content. Yahoo! News leads audience loyalty on Twitter with 41 percent of followers returning to engage with its content month over month. For the sixth consecutive month, National Geographic leads the Top Ten, drawing 85.5M engaged actions across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and growing 22 percent since November.
Social engagement for the U.S. media publishing category grew 6 percent across all social platforms, largely driven by a 23 percent increase on Instagram. In comparison, social engagement across all U.S. brands increased 1 percent, with posting down by 2 percent. In December, publishing properties on social media in the U.S. accounted for 554.4M actions total (363.5M actions on Facebook, 28.1M on Twitter and 162.8M on Instagram).

Fastest growing categories by volume of social media actions were:
1. Travel – 27 percent
Fastest growing properties for the category were Sunset Magazine, Travel + Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler, up 115 percent, 28 percent and 25 percent, respectively.
2. Business & Finance – 11 percent
The fastest growing property was Fast Company, up 27 percent since November.
3. Sports – 10 percent
Driven largely by Yahoo! Sports, Golf World and Golf Digest Magazine with 42 percent, 27 percent and 24 percent growth, respectively.
