Shareablee Releases Social Publisher Ranking for October 2014
Entertainment Weekly enters the top 10 for the first time and Billboard has the largest growth in October
NEW YORK, Nov. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Shareablee Inc. (http://www.shareablee.com), the leading social media benchmarking and audience engagement analysis firm, released today its monthly Social Publisher Ranking. The October ranking reveals audiences engaging with publishing properties on social media in the US, with a total volume of 412.5M actions generated on Facebook, 27M on Twitter and 185.5M on Instagram.
National Geographic led the top 10 ranking for the fifth consecutive month, drawing 67.8M engaged actions across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Of the top 10, Billboard had the highest growth in engagement (30%) followed closely by Entertainment Weekly (26%).
Publishers' social activity is expanding across the various platforms, especially shown by the increased share of voice on Instagram. Since August, total actions on Instagram have grown by 22%. In October, the Fashion & Style (7.1M) and Entertainment (3.3M) publishing categories have the largest number of total actions on Instagram.

Fastest growing categories by volume of social media actions were:
1. Sports – 315%
Fastest growing title was Sports Illustrated with 80% growth.
2. Auto – 75%
Fastest growing properties for the category were Yahoo! Autos, Car and Driver and Automobile Magazine, which grew 1,363%, 65% and 54%, respectively.
3. Fashion & Style – 74%
Driven largely by Yahoo! Shine and Refinery29 with 191% and 55% growth, respectively.
