Shareablee Ranks Top Ten TV Networks in August 2015
ESPN tops ranking, FXX sees largest growth in August
NEW YORK, Sept. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Shareablee Inc., the leading social media benchmarking and audience analysis firm that partners with TV and cable networks CBS, NBC, ESPN, Univision, FOX News and CNN, among others, today released an August ranking of the most socially engaged TV Networks in the U.S. The ranking, which includes all television shows and the main network brand accounts under their respective networks, reflects a total of 480 million social actions (322 million on Facebook – likes, shares and comments, 29 million on Twitter – retweets, favorites, 125.1 million on Instagram – likes, comments, 3.8 million on YouTube – likes, dislikes, comments) and saw a 13 percent decrease in total social actions compared to July 2015. This was largely driven by a 21 percent decrease in total Facebook actions from the previous month.
ESPN, led by the program SportsCenter, ranks number one with 59.4 million total actions across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. Telemundo ranked number one on Facebook with 40.7 million actions, ABC ranked number one on YouTube with 834.5 thousand actions, and ESPN ranked number one on Twitter and Instagram with 6.6 and 32.5 million actions, respectively. Fox News won the news category with 29.9 million actions. FXX grew 125 percent, the largest growth in the TV Network category during the month of August, driven by The League's social promotion of its upcoming season. ABC captured the most social amplification of any TV network with 6.6 million shares and retweets on Facebook and Twitter.
