Shaquille O'Neal teams with PLAYSTUDIOS on two new casino games
Maker of myVEGAS experience launches CaddyShaq and ShaqJack
Players can win real rewards from Shaq
LAS VEGAS, March 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PLAYSTUDIOS, the groundbreaking creator of the free-to-play myVEGAS social casino experience, today announced the launch of two new titles developed in partnership with basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal.
"We've partnered with the Big Man and we are incredibly excited about what we've created together,'' said Andrew Pascal, CEO of PLAYSTUDIOS. "When players get a flavor for how we've incorporated Shaq into our games, they are going to be amazed at how we've captured the essence of his personality. And just like our myVEGAS games, players earn real rewards as they play.''
O'Neal, a fan of the innovative myVEGAS Slots and myVEGAS Blackjack games, worked closely with PLAYSTUDIOS in developing, designing and implementing the games. Designers and animators used motion-capture technology and state-of-the-art audio to bring to life the gargantuan personality that is Shaquille O'Neal.
"Once players see the games, they are going to have some fun,'' O'Neal said. "I play myVEGAS games and their features really keep you there for a while. These games will do the same thing.''
Like PlayStudios' myVEGAS games, the Shaq games will offer real-world rewards from O'Neal himself. Players can redeem points earned on the games for rewards that include CaddyShaq-signed T-Shirts, an autographed Shaq jersey, a personalized voicemail recording from Shaq, floor seats at a Sacramento Kings game and even a chance to shoot hoops with O'Neal at his house.
The two new games are:
- Caddy Shaq. A new twist on a traditional online slot machine where the right spin triggers exciting bonus features including:
- A golf course side-scroller where a player and the Big Man hit the links at Shaqusta Country Club and try to avoid the club's mischievous mascot, Bucky the Gopher.
- A stack of three Shaq symbols transforms into a single Stack Shaq Wild Symbol – which allows players to get free spins until they hit a winner.
- ShaqJack is a new addition to the myVEGAS blackjack lineup featuring:
- Several basketball-themed layouts, rather than a customary blackjack table.
- Players can start a hot streak on The Street and then follow His Shaqness through each professional stop of his illustrious professional career.
- Narration by Shaq.
The Shaq games launch today on Google Play, iOS and Amazon. The games are available on Facebook.
CaddyShaq and ShaqJack join myVEGAS Slots and myVEGAS Blackjack as the only social casino apps that gives players a chance to earn real-world rewards from an exclusive collection of travel, leisure, and entertainment brands including Bellagio, ARIA, MGM Grand, Wolfgang Puck, Cirque du Soleil, Royal Caribbean International and House of Blues. Rewards include complimentary hotels stays, travel packages, cruises, meals, shows, VIP nightclub access, and more.
myVEGAS is free to download and play and is currently available on iOS, Android and Kindle mobile devices as well as on Facebook.
