Shannon Illingworth, Founder of AVT, Featured on "Make Me a Millionaire Inventor"

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. Illingworth, who is known as "The Father of Automated Retailing," was asked to give guidance to two sets of entrepreneurs that wanted to start a business based on self-service kiosks.

Last week, Illingworth told a couple from Illinois that their idea for a Sno-Cone vending machine was great, but that the road to success is paved with challenges, which he outlined in detail. The couple went on to use Illingworth's advice and modified their plans, which resulted in them receiving funding for their business and enough capital to build their first 10 machines.

"I've spent the past 15 years helping entrepreneurs and businesses get into the exciting world of automated retailing," Illingworth said. "And if I've learned one thing over the years, it's that no idea, no matter how great, is worth anything without proper execution."

On this week's episode, Illingworth is called on to help an entrepreneur that wants to build a business around an automated 3D cake decorating system.
