- Universal decoder – The Kyrion DR8400 is a single-channel integrated receiver decoder (IRD) that decodes flawlessly irrespective of point-of-origin encoder brand or user-defined configuration. This feature makes it an ideal companion for international satellite operations, where content is backhauled from a broad array of news and sports content providers.
- High performance – The DR8400 provides extensive computing power, allowing it to receive 72 Mhz Multi-Program Transport Streams exceeding 150 Mbps. It decodes up to 1080P60 video resolution and frame rates up to 32 mono audio channels. The DR8400 supports 4:2:2 MPEG-2, 4:2:2 10-bit MPEG-4 and the new HEVC standard.
