Shanghai General Motors Adopts Radware APSolute Application Delivery Solution to Create a High-Availability and Performance Enterprise Network
BEIJING, May 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Radware (Nasdaq: RDWR), a leading provider of integrated application delivery solutions for business-smart networking, today announced that Shanghai General Motors Co., Ltd. (Shanghai GM) has integrated Radware's APSolute® Application Delivery solution into its enterprise network. This move aims to ensure the existing network system to better serve production, marketing, management and other business functions of Shanghai GM.
Established in June 1997, Shanghai GM is a renowned leading enterprise in the Chinese automobile industry. In total, it has manufactured more than three million cars. Due to rapid business development, the enterprise network and e-commerce infrastructures saw a sharp increase in network traffic, putting its network under great pressure. In response to this, Shanghai GM chose to work with Radware and has deployed Radware's LinkProof®, a multi-WAN load balancer at its enterprise network outlet and respectively Radware's AppDirector® intelligent application delivery platforms in DMZ and application server domain.
Relying on the full-path health examination technology of Radware LinkProof link load balancing platforms, Shanghai GM has implemented real-time detection towards multilink full-path health status, and fulfilled load balancing and redundancy backup of data traffic among multiple links. Moreover, the related patent algorithm enables it to make the best of multiple Internet outlet bandwidths. It will not only enable high usability of Internet outlets but also remarkably reduce the general cost of the enterprise network operation. The successful deployment of the AppDirector server load balancing platforms ensures that user requests are always processed by servers in good health status and normal operation, making the traffic of web servers and application servers more rational and balanced - thus avoiding single-point server failure and, ultimately, improving the usability and total quality of experience (QoE) of the enterprise application service.
"Radware's multilink and server load balancing solution helps us promote the performance of our enterprise network," said Mr. Chen Yingjian, the executive director of the Information System Department of Shanghai GM. "In addition, this solution has notably improved usability and economic efficiency of our network equipment. The cost of our enterprise network operation has been lowered to a reasonable level by saving bandwidth of several Internet outlets and enhancing server usability. Accordingly, the overall competitiveness of information systems has been strengthened efficiently."
"The core strength of Radware solutions lies in helping users to drastically boost network performance and enhance competitiveness continuously, fully ensuring reliability and usability of network resources and creating an efficient, smooth and stable network application environment for users on the premise to protect the original investment," said, Mr. Zhao Jun, General Manager of Radware China.
