Prior to joining Ergo, Mei was Chairman of Reed Elsevier in China from 2006-2010, where he led the publishing giant's government relations and business development efforts. During his tenure, Reed Elsevier established itself as one of China's leading information providers. From 1986-2005 he was a Senior Consultant at Kissinger Associates, where he was responsible for the firm's broad range of work in China and advised clients on legal, business development, and government affairs issues. "Shan will be a tremendous asset to Ergo's growing business in China," said RP Eddy, Ergo's CEO. "His unrivaled wealth of knowledge and experience will help us strengthen our reputation as the go-to firm for primary research on China."
Mei added, "I am honored to be the Chairman of Ergo China and to lead the company's growth in a country with constantly expanding opportunities for Western businesses. I look forward to working with the Ergo team to support our clients' endeavors across China."
