SGS Opens New Electrical & Electronics Testing Center of Excellence in Atlanta
Open House Scheduled September 20; Lab Will Serve Entire U.S.
FAIRFIELD, N.J., Aug. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SGS Consumer Testing Services, a leading global provider of verification, testing and certification services, is expanding in the U.S. with the opening of a new electrical and electronics lab in Atlanta dedicated exclusively to testing and certifying electrical and electronic (E&E) products. SGS will hold an open house on Tuesday, September 20, with testing demonstrations and facility tours, including a 10-meter electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing chamber large enough to fit a car.
The new lab will evaluate the electromagnetic capability, battery and energy efficiency, and safety compliance of products in dozens of categories ranging from medical devices and home electronics to office equipment, lighting products and laboratory equipment.
"This lab expands our E&E testing capabilities to provide a comprehensive resource for brand manufacturers, retailers and importers who need to meet local and international regulatory requirements.
