WASHINGTON, April 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Freedom Alliance, a nonprofit organization that supports injured service members and their families, joins loanDepot to host seven veterans for a fishing adventure April 28-30 in Cabo San Lucas aboard Bad Company, the world's most successful professional deep sea fishing tournament-rigged yacht.
"I'm honored to host this trip for our veterans and Freedom Alliance. These brave Americans have sacrificed so much for our country, and the work Freedom Alliance does is incredibly important," said Anthony Hsieh, loanDepot CEO and Chairman. "I'm excited to share the weekend and my love of the ocean and deep sea sport fishing with these true American heroes."
The outing begins with a first-class flight to Cabo aboard Hsieh's personal Gulfstream jet. The veterans will then enjoy an evening at a four-star hotel in Cabo San Lucas before boarding Bad Company for world-class deep sea fishing on the tournament-rigged fishing yacht, where they will be treated to gourmet meals and more prepared by Hsieh's private chef. It will also include: instruction in deep sea fishing and whale watching and gourmet meals by Hsieh's private chef while aboard the ship.
This once-in–a-lifetime journey is part of Freedom Alliance's Outdoor Adventures program, which provides injured troops and veterans with recreational therapy that improves their rehabilitation and aids in the transition back into civilian life.
The experience is intended to thank the service members for their sacrifice and assist them with healing from combat-related injuries, including traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and post-traumatic stress (PTS). It is sponsored by loanDepot and Hsieh, who connected with Freedom Alliance after learning about the numerous programs and services offered to military members and their families.
"We're grateful for this opportunity to partner with loanDepot. The company shares the same passion as we do, when it comes to showing appreciation to service members who have given so much for our freedom," said Tom Kilgannon, president of Freedom Alliance. "We hope these veterans not only have a fun experience, but also build comradery and support for each other, which goes a long way in the path toward their recovery."
The excursion will be filmed by a national lifestyle documentary broadcast team and is set to air on "Destination: Baja Sur," a travel series on the World Fishing Network hosted by Bill Boyce.
