Seven Advanced Technology Services Sites Recognized As Among Safest Places To Work In South Carolina

PEORIA, Ill., March 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Technology Services, Inc. (ATS) today announced that it has been recognized by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce for its superior safety record in 2012. ATS recorded zero safety incidents at seven sites in the state, as measured by regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The Chamber of Commerce's Safety Awards program is designed to recognize companies and their employees who had commendable lost workday case rate during the year.

ATS reported a perfect zero incident safety performance at seven South Carolina sites. Six of seven are factories where the company performs maintenance activities. The factories include: two Caterpillar plants (Greenville and Newberry); and four Eaton facilities (Sumter, North Charleston, and two sites in Greenwood). ATS' South East Office in Greenville was also recognized.

Of the sites honored, two in particular hold exemplary multi-year "zero incident" records. Eaton Corporation/Hydraulic Division in Greenwood has held the distinction for five years, and Caterpillar in Newberry has been incident-free for six years.
