Seth Twery Joins Protiviti as a Managing Director in Charlotte, NC

Risk and compliance professional brings technology expertise to financial services clients

MENLO PARK, Calif., May 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Seth Twery has joined the Charlotte office of Protiviti (www.protiviti.com), a global consulting firm, as a managing director. His focus is on providing technology-enabled risk and compliance solutions for clients in the financial services industry.

Twery has 30 years of experience working with banks and consumer lending organizations, including designing and applying innovative technology solutions across operations, governance, risk and compliance, and anti-money laundering (AML).

Prior to joining Protiviti, Twery spent 18 years with IBM, including 12 years as their North American risk and compliance leader. His professional accomplishments include leading the design, development and rollout of more than 20 fraud and operational risk solutions, assisting financial services firms in the transformation of financial crime operations, and leading AML systems integration projects for more than 50 financial institutions.

In addition to IBM, Twery was a senior manager at a Big Four firm where he worked on credit card technology and strategic systems planning for national retailers and banks. Prior to that, he was a principal with the boutique payments consulting firm Carmody and Company. He has a bachelor of science in mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
