Servisair Inc. and Unifor Local 2002 reach collective agreement

Minister Leitch congratulates both parties

OTTAWA, Feb. 2, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, congratulated Servisair Inc. and Unifor Local 2002 on the renewal of their collective agreement.

The agreement was reached with assistance from the Labour Program's Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS). The FMCS provides dispute resolution and dispute prevention assistance to trade unions and employers under the jurisdiction of the Canada Labour Code.

Quick Facts

• Servisair Inc. provides ground handling services to aircraft at 175 airports worldwide.
• The collective agreement covering approximately 500 employees at Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Airport expired on January 31, 2014.
