ServiceLink's LoanCare Servicing Division Introduces New Mobile Portal at 2013 MBA Annual Convention and Expo
WASHINGTON, Oct. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ServiceLink, a leading end-to-end origination and default solutions provider for 15 of the top 20 mortgage lenders and servicers, today announced the availability of its LoanCare Servicing division's new borrower mobile access platform. The new platform, which was announced during the 2013 Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Annual Convention & Expo, provides the company's servicer clients and their borrowers with mobile and tablet-based access to the company's loan management system.
Like the company's www.myloancare.com consumer-facing website, LoanCare Servicing's new mobile platform may be private-labeled to provide a seamless user experience for both servicers and their borrowers. LoanCare's mobile platform operates on any smartphone or tablet and enables borrowers to proactively self-manage many aspects of their loan, including balance checks, payment history, interest rate data and online payment submission. Borrowers may register for access directly from their smart phones and, once activated, they may access their account data 24/7 via their mobile device of choice.
LoanCare Servicing's mobile platform features all of the same robust borrower functionality as the company's flagship www.myloancare.com site, including the ability to:
- View loan information
- Make payments
- Manage automatic drafts
- View payment history
- Update personal information
- Contact their servicer
In its Summer 2013 Supervisory Highlights, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) reported specific problem areas within mortgage servicing, including poor payment processing and loss mitigation. Within each, the lack of shared information and inadequate communication between borrower and servicer were cited as key drivers of compliance risks and weaknesses within mortgage servicing.
"Achieving transparency is a primary focus of the current regulatory environment and mobile technology enables us to support this objective to a degree never before possible," said Gene Ross, president of LoanCare. "With LoanCare's new mobile portal, consumers have unrivaled access to their accounts and can easily contact their servicer, if needed, while servicers can securely deliver detailed loan information directly to the consumer's device."
