Serial Entrepreneur Reggie Bradford Joins Healthcare IT Startup Mana Health as Board Member and Investor
News Follows Announcement of Mana Health's First Customer Win for NYEC's Patient Portal for New Yorkers
NEW YORK, Aug. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the announcement today that Mana Health has been awarded the contract to build the Patient Portal for New Yorkers, the company is announcing that serial entrepreneur Reggie Bradford has joined the board and become an investor in the company. Mana Health is a health technology company devoted to using data to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare for patients and medical professionals. Based in New York City, Mana Health's award-winning, patent-pending technology helps people easily understand and use their health data, as well as gives medical providers tools to provide insights and solve problems faster.
Bradford is currently Senior Vice President of Product Development at Oracle. Bradford brings his experience as a digital entrepreneur in healthcare and technology businesses, having built and sold three technology companies in the past 15 years. In his most recent venture, Bradford was Founder and CEO at Vitrue, the leading SaaS-based social marketing platform acquired by Oracle in 2012. Prior to that, he was CEO at N2 Broadband, the leader in Video on Demand software solutions, which was acquired by Tandberg Television (now Ericsson) in 2005, which was then acquired by Ericsson. His interest in healthcare began during his tenure as WebMD's first Chief Marketing Officer at a time when that company rose to be one of the most recognized brands in health.
"I joined the amazing team at Mana Health because I believe that healthcare truly has the opportunity to be impacted by the intelligent use of data, and I want to help make that happen," said Bradford. "I'm excited to contribute my experience in healthcare, consumer engagement, and in scaling technology enterprises as we grow our business."
"Reggie is an entrepreneurial force who has the drive and energy to solve big business and social problems," said Raj Amin, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman. "We couldn't be happier to have him join us in our mission to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery using innovative data-driven solutions," added Chris Bradley, CEO and Co-Founder.
The company's first product is an award-winning patient portal that lets people easily understand and use their health data to satisfy care providers' need to offer patients free access to their data. Additional products will make use of clinical and "real world" data to drive quality improvements and greater efficiency in healthcare delivery. Mana Health recently was selected as the winner of the Patient Portal for New Yorkers design competition after a public voting process and two judging panels across New York State.
Bradford joins Board Members and Co-Founders Chris Bradley, CEO, and Raj Amin, Executive Chairman, who together have created Mana Health's vision for data-driven healthcare. Chris Bradley brings his product vision as a pre-med and neuroscience undergraduate at Rutgers and a Masters in Computer Science from NYU Poly, which led to his desire to create products that use data to impact healthcare in positive ways. Executive Chairman Raj Amin brings his experience in building consumer media and technology-based businesses, having most recently served as CEO at HealthiNation, a leading consumer health video enterprise which he co-founded and led for 7 years.
