Sergio Vallin joins Sergio Villanueva, SVP of Manufacturing of Fender in "The Essential Partnership: Artists & Their Instruments" panel, which will take a look at why artists are very particular when it comes to their instrument of choice, why they gravitate toward a particular brand, and what it takes to join the Fender Familia of Artists. Vallin is the lead guitarist of Mana, the most influential Spanish rock band of all time. Sergio joined Mana in 1994 and since then has been an instrumental part of the band's success. Mana is competing for five Billboard Latin Music Awards.
Jorge Drexler joins SGAE's new president, Anton Reixa, and Wake App's CEO, Jacobo Bergareche, in "Liquid Songs," presenting the artist's interactive songs suite "n by Jorge Drexler," a groundbreaking project of combinatory music. The panel will feature an exclusive live performance by the critically acclaimed singer/songwriter. He gained international prominence in 2004 with his Oscar-winning song "Al Otro Lado del Rio." His most recent album, "Amar La Trama," was released in 2010 to rave reviews.
Memo Ibarra joins Arpa Music's founder and president, Pepe Garza; mun2's general manager, Diana Mogollon; Music Choice's senior programmer of Latin music and video, Luis Rivera; and Discos Sabina's managing director, German Chavez; in "New Windows for Regional Mexican," a conversation with key star-makers, executives and talent on how Regional Mexican music finds new avenues of development in television and video. Ibarra is the lead singer of Chicago-based group Alerta Zero. He and Alerta Zero continue to enchant audiences with their duranguense style. Their debut album, "Vivo en Tu Piel," was released in 2011.
