SentryBay and NetSTAR Sign Strategic Technology Partnership
Software will support malware and parental control within mobile solution
LONDON and TOKYO, Jan. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Security specialist SentryBay has announced that it has signed a new technology partnership deal with NetSTAR, a global leader in OEM secure Web filtering. The first phase of the deal will see NetSTAR's content filtering, malware protection and parental control technology embedded within SentryBay's existing mobile security software.
NetSTAR, Japan's premier developer of URL filtering product technologies and services, supplies its self-developed filtering engines and high-quality URL database to a number of high profile partner companies globally through its inCompass SDK. This allows filtering services for end users, log analysis services, distribution services, ISPs, search services, etc., allowing for improved safety for Internet browsing and more efficient Internet access.
From Q1 2012, NetSTAR technology will be included within SentryBay's existing mobile device platform, enhancing its ID theft protection capabilities, as well as adding malware protection, content filtering and parental controls. NetSTAR offers the only 4th generation solution in the market place and has the ability to support any cloud-based infrastructure. In addition to malware and security, inCompass has the unique ability to adapt URL filtering for different cultures and regions.
