Sentry Data Systems Ranked #1 KLAS Category Leader for 2014 in 340B Management (Inpatient)
DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla., March 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sentry Data Systems, Inc. (Sentry) proudly announces that it has been named the KLAS Category Leader 2014 in 340B Management (Inpatient) as part of the "2014 Best in KLAS" report.i KLAS is an industry research firm that improves the delivery of healthcare technology by independently measuring and reporting on vendor performance. The Best in KLAS report ranks healthcare vendors and their solutions by the professionals who use them—healthcare providers.
The annual Best in KLAS Awards report lists the highest-performing vendors in healthcare IT, as rated by their clients. A Category Leader designation identifies the top-rated vendor product for each market segment and is determined by end-of-year KLAS performance scores. Category Leaders hold the distinction for a full year, until the next Best in KLAS Awards report is published.
Sentry's Category Leader distinction is a follow-up to the KLAS "340B Management Systems: Relieving the Audit Pressure" Performance Report, published in March 2014ii, in which Sentry was ranked highest for provider confidence for HRSA audit preparation with "94% of Sentry customers confident their product had sufficiently prepared them for an audit." Within this same report, Sentry also ranked #1 for customer satisfaction in four additional 340B-specific categories: Internal Reporting/Analytics, NDC Cross-Reference Issues, Working with Contract Pharmacies and Response Time to Legislative Changes.
"We are extremely proud of the consistent recognition we receive from KLAS for our 340B Management software," said Travis Leonardi, Sentry's CEO and Founder. "Sentry customers are some of the most satisfied in the industry, and we thank them for their ongoing support," adds Leonardi.
According to Leonardi, hospitals are facing tough economic times; they are tightening belts and securing every penny of cost savings available. The 340B Program allows safety net providers the ability to offset their unreimbursed pharmaceutical costs of care—without increasing federal subsidies. It is a critical program for hospitals and other facilities caring for high un- and under-insured patient populations. Sentry's Sentinel solution helps these hospitals manage their hospital mixed-use purchasing and 340B contract pharmacy relationships to maintain compliance with evolving healthcare legislation.
"It has always been our goal for customers to be confident in Sentry's ability to help them manage their 340B program, remain compliant, and successfully prepare for HRSA audits," concludes Leonardi. Sentry's Sentinel product is designed for hospital pharmacy procurement and 340B compliance, while its Sentrex product helps manage contract pharmacy programs. Both solutions identify eligible 340B dispensations, provide a complete audit trail to ensure compliance, and include self-auditing tools and preconfigured reports to help ensure that an organization's 340B program is operating as expected.
