Sentinel Outsources Fund Servicing to Boston Financial

QUINCY, Mass., June 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Boston Financial Data Services, one of the industry's premier third-party service providers and a joint venture between DST Systems, Inc. and State Street Corp., has assumed key elements of transfer agency operations for Sentinel Investments. Boston Financial will support Sentinel's transaction processing, control, broker servicing and quality control, among other critical functions.

By turning over the majority of its transfer agency work to Boston Financial, Sentinel frees resources to focus on managing investments. Sentinel retains primary call center responsibility, though Boston Financial will share in this work load as well.

Because Boston Financial utilizes DST's transfer agency platform, the transition to a selective servicing—or business process outsourcing (BPO)—relationship required no technology conversion and was transparent to Sentinel investors.
