SenSage Continues Success Solving Big SIEM Challenges
Announces Industry's First-Ever Integration of SIEM with Business Intelligence Tools; Launches Innovative Open Security Intelligence Community and Builds Momentum with New Office in Redwood Shores and Expanded Management Team
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., June 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SenSage, Inc., the leader in solving complex Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) challenges, today announced momentum during the first half of 2011, supported by new technology, market innovations and expanded partnerships.
"I am really pleased with what our team has accomplished in the first half of the year," said SenSage President and CEO Joe Gottlieb. "First, we launched SenSage 4.6, which opens up the industry's most scalable SIEM and log management software. Then we announced the Open Security Intelligence community, a market-changing initiative that will improve the overall sharing of security intelligence."
SenSage version 4.6, launched in February, enables enterprises to access their security data with third-party business intelligence tools and dashboards for improved security intelligence and data analytics. At RSA, SenSage announced a new online forum, "Open Security Intelligence," for security professionals interested in sharing security data mining practices and driving open architectures and standards in the SIEM market.
"Everyone is talking about 'big data' because our digital world is producing it and it takes very special technologies to master it. SenSage was founded on the assumption that event logging, management and response would evolve into a data management problem. Customers choose us because of our unique event data warehouse that leverages a columnar database uniquely designed for time-stamped data (i.e., logs of any format, from any application, infrastructure component or device)," continued Gottlieb.
"A key goal behind the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance program is to accelerate the development of interoperable security products and simplify the integration of those products within complex customer environments," said Ed Barry, vice president of the Security Innovation Alliance, McAfee. "Our customers are the most demanding and proactive security practitioners in the world so it really makes sense that we partner with SenSage, as they address very sophisticated use-cases with a highly scalable SIEM and log management solution that is integrated with the McAfee security risk management platform."
The company has also added or expanded several key partnerships in 2011:
- In February, SenSage penned an agreement with Go IP, a leading IT solutions and services company, that will bring SenSage SIEM and log management products to customers in India, Southeast Asia and North America.
- In April, SenSage joined the Cisco Developer Network and successfully completed interoperability testing with the Security Management Secure Borderless Networks system.
- In May, SenSage announced a deeper relationship with Cerner to drive higher levels of compliance in the healthcare market.
- Also in May, SenSage completed FIPS 140-2 validation to address requirements from federal government agencies.
In April, SenSage moved its offices to Redwood Shores, California, home to many other IT and security market leaders. Finally, the company expanded its leadership team by recruiting Eric Warner as Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Cari Jaquet as Vice President of Marketing and Stacy Lovelace as Vice President of Finance and Legal. Warner, Jaquet and Lovelace join the existing top talent of SenSage's executive management team that includes: Joe Gottlieb, President and Chief Executive Officer; Rao Yendluri, Vice President of Engineering; Chris Berry, Vice President of Services and Support; Danny Banks, Vice President of Solutions Engineering and Emerging Markets; Eric Karlson, Chief Architect; and Charlie McAlister, Director Europe, Middle East and Africa.
