"Across the globe, it's challenging to provide access to quality health services that people need without risking financial hardship," said Renée-Marie Stephano, President of the Medical Tourism Association "The arguments for improving access and affordability have never been stronger for an emerging healthcare movement to step forward and allow reforms to take root. Therefore, we need a platform to facilitate and discuss challenges and requirements of well-run health systems, access to essential medicines and technologies and ample, motivated health workers" added Stephano, who is also host of the congress at which some 2,000 hospital administrators, physicians, insurance executives, government leaders, centers of excellence and related tourism and travel entities will converge to discuss quality issues, challenges and opportunities in global healthcare and medical tourism.
