ARLINGTON, Va., April 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ATK (NYSE: ATK) announced that Steven J. Cortese, Senior Vice President, Government Relations and Communications, will leave the Company on May 1, 2013, to pursue a new employment opportunity.

Mr. Cortese joined ATK in 2006 as the Senior Vice President, Washington Operations and served as the Company's representative to Congress and various government agencies. In late 2011, he assumed oversight for the Communications function, ensuring ATK's strategic priorities were well understood by internal and external audiences.
"Steve has been a tremendous asset to ATK, helping to guide the company through government budget cycles, Congressional relations and corporate communications initiatives," said ATK President and CEO Mark DeYoung.
