SendGrid Releases Template Engine
New Feature Enables Seamless Collaboration Between Marketers, Developers and Designers on Application Generated Transactional Emails
BOULDER, Colo., May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SendGrid, the leading email delivery service for the world's wanted email, today announced the launch of its email Template Engine. The new feature enables seamless collaboration between marketers, developers and designers, allowing each to work within SendGrid's user interface to edit and create email templates for all of their transactional emails.
The collaborative process enabled by the email Template Engine helps solve several challenges related to the creation and modification of transactional emails. The Template Engine eases the burden on marketers and designers who typically make requests to their email operations developers for changes to be implemented to transactional email campaigns. In many cases, marketers and designers must wait several weeks for the changes to process through the dev team's workflow. For developers, frequent requests from marketers to make changes to transactional emails can be a distraction and take time and resources away from other projects. SendGrid alleviates this friction by enabling marketers and designers to make necessary edits to the email content themselves via SendGrid's easy to use transactional email Template Engine interface.
Key benefits of the new application include:
- Empowers marketers to manage the content of transactional email templates
- Reduces overhead for sending templatized email and relieves the need to communicate every change to developers when updating templates
- Leverages SendGrid's powerful email platform for fast and reliable deliverability
- Offers developers a RESTful API that is very easy to work with
"These templates enable me to easily customize and modify the content in our transactional emails and make them more relevant and engaging for our customers," said Rob Acker, senior project manager, CiviCore. "We're excited to make full use of all the new functionality and to streamline our process for creating and successfully delivering emails using SendGrid."
"As companies mature and hire on more employees who are responsible for marketing and design, developers are sometimes overtaxed with new requests coming at them from different parts of the business," said Paul Ford, vice president of product and marketing, SendGrid. "Our new feature solves this problem by empowering marketers to maintain control of their own content, freeing up developers to focus on other core tasks."
SendGrid will host a live demo the new Template Engine on June 17th at 1:00 p.m. ET. Registration details can be found here.
