SendGrid Recognized as Advanced Tier Technology Partner in the AWS Partner Network
Further Compliments its Scalable Private Cloud via Expanded Footprint on AWS
DENVER, Aug. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- SendGrid, a leading customer communication platform that drives engagement and growth today announced that it has been selected as an Advanced tier Technology Partner in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN). The accreditation reinforces SendGrid's technology prowess and expertise in driving digital conversations at scale by sending over 1 billion emails per day on behalf of more than 55,000 paying customers.
This designation is the highest status a Technology Partner in the APN can receive. To reach Advanced status, AWS requires APN members to meet certain criteria, including increased technical validation, a higher number of public client references, and a favorable assessment in customer support and customer reviews. Only a portion of APN members achieve Advanced Technology status.
Today's announcement follows last month's AWS blog post, wherein SendGrid announced an expansion of its relationship with AWS as a strategic cloud APN Partner.
When SendGrid was founded in 2009, its founders built an advanced private cloud that enables customers to efficiently and reliably scale their sending on its platform. The company recently passed a major milestone, surpassing 1 trillion emails processed since its inception. While SendGrid has been complementing its private cloud by running workloads with public cloud providers in the past including AWS, the company is deepening and broadening its collaboration and aggressively expanding its footprint on AWS.
"SendGrid is a leader in trusted email deliverability differentiated by our platform's scalability and reliability as well our customer support," said J.R. Jasperson, Chief Architect at SendGrid. "Our recognition as an Advanced tier Technology Partner in the APN affirms our commitment to being a technology leader as well and will allow us to continue to do what we do best - help deliver our customer's email - while intending to accelerate product innovation enhancing the support and services we provide for our customers."
Our strategic relationship with AWS is intended to positively impact our customers in several ways:
- Accelerate product innovation and the development of new features for customers: By testing and validating new features, SendGrid is building a faster learning cycle.
- Better serve customers who have significant volume variability in their sending: Our relationship with AWS provides additional capabilities to SendGrid for managing large customer volume spikes during key periods; like Black Friday.
- Enhance service to our international customers and support international expansion: AWS offers numerous data centers around the globe to enable SendGrid to minimize the physical distance with our customers, increase our responsiveness and reduce our latency.
