SendGrid Expands Presence in Orange County and Silicon Valley; Signs Leases in Both Locations to Triple Footprint in California
DENVER, July 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- SendGrid, a leading customer communication platform that drives engagement and growth, today announced that it has signed leases for new office space in both Orange County and Silicon Valley. The new spaces are nearly triple the footprint of the existing offices in each location and can accommodate more than two times the current number of California employees over time.
The new 22,000+ square foot Orange County office is located at 400 Spectrum Drive in Irvine in the heart of the region's rapidly growing technology center. The office is adjacent to the Spectrum shopping center and close to myriad housing choices nearby. The building is also close to the Irvine Transportation Center, which includes iShuttle services for commuters from the station to Irvine Spectrum. Showers, lockers and covered bicycle storage in the building enable outdoor fitness as well as easy commuting by bike.
The new Silicon Valley office is located at 889 Winslow in Redwood City and encompasses 15,000+ square feet of office space. In close proximity to a Caltrain stop and adjacent to Middlefield Road restaurants and shops, the Redwood City office location also offers SendGrid employees a number of local conveniences within walking distance.
Construction of the two new offices is in progress and the moves are currently scheduled for 2018. Designed to drive employee engagement and productivity, the new offices will mirror the look and feel of SendGrid's recently opened global headquarters in Denver. Similar to the Denver headquarters, the new offices will feature an open floor plan design and will incorporate feedback from employees on the layout of shared workspaces. In addition, branding elements that represent SendGrid's award-winning 4H culture will be present throughout the new spaces.
"The investment we made in these two new locations positions us to be more competitive and attractive to local talent as well as gives us a strategic presence in two major tech communities in California," said Pattie Money, Chief People Officer at SendGrid. "Our experience expanding new offices in Denver and London has affirmed that we can attract, engage and retain a robust talent pool, while bringing our Gridders together for the benefit of our customers."
Founded in Boulder in 2009, SendGrid currently has over 400 employees spread across its Denver, Redwood City, Orange County and London locations.
