Recto, Senator of the 16th Congress of the Philippines, having been dubbed the Philippines No. 1 International Water and Wastewater Industry Event since its inception in 2011. Now in its third edition, Water Philippines 2015, an activity of the United Nations World Water Day 2015 in the Philippines, will showcase 331 participating companies from 28 countries from 25 -- 27 March at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. The event will feature a wide range of innovative services, technologies, systems, purification processes, equipment, and machinery related to the water and wastewater sector.
Water Philippines 2015 supports a crucial industry and continue to grow over the coming years to ensure that it retains its reputation. Honourable Ralph G. Recto in his speech urges the water community to contribute to the society, stating, "Let us have more meetings like this, more expositions like this, and more advocates for clean water like us to pressure our government that when it comes to the basic human right of access to clean water, it cannot wash its hands of this responsibility."
General Tan Sri Dato Seri Panglima Mohd Azumi (Rtd), Co-Chairman of UBM ASEAN emphasised, "UBM as the organizer, is committed in seeing the growth of Water Philippines in providing not just market solutions to water technologies, but also the intellectual solutions to policy makers and regulators. We hope that both exhibitors and participants are able to provide the best advice and propose innovative solutions. Water Philippines needs to enhance its intellectual credibility in shaping the direction of the water industry in the Philippines, be it in technology, techniques or services."
Given its good reputation, Water Philippines 2015 is set to break its previous record with an expected 7,000 trade professionals from across the region with nine international pavilions from Singapore, Taiwan, German, Korea, mainland China, Malaysia, the United States, Thailand as well as the Water Environment Federation (WEF).
