Senator Rockefeller has announced he will retire when his current term expires in January 2015.
For the past three decades, Senator Rockefeller has championed efforts to ensure the long-term viability of the United States steel industry, recognizing its important contribution to the country's economy and its national security. "First as Governor and then as United States Senator, Jay Rockefeller has fought tirelessly on behalf of this vital industry, to the benefit of steelworkers here in West Virginia as well as across the country – and to the benefit of our economy as a whole."
The award was presented to Senator Rockefeller in Weirton, West Virginia at an event recognizing his legacy of work with the U.S. steel industry. The Senator was also honored by Leo W.
