Senate Leader Kevin de Leon to Open Ninth Annual Green California Summit
SACRAMENTO, Calif., April 2, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A keynote presentation by Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de Leon will open the 2015 Green California Summit and Expo. The conference comes to the Sacramento Convention Center April 7-8.
Through a program of educational sessions, Pre-Summit training on April 6 and an Expo featuring scores of green products and services, the Summit will highlight the wide range of policies, programs, strategies and technologies that are being actively implemented to preserve the natural resources of the Golden State.
Now in its ninth year, the Summit is developed with leadership from an advisory board composed of leaders from state and local government and the private sector. The board is co-chaired by Government Operations Secretary, Marybel Batjer, CalEPA Secretary Matt Rodriquez and Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency Secretary Anna Caballero.
Principal sponsors include the Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Pacific Gas and Electric Company and the Sacramento and East Bay Clean Cities coalitions.
The Expo offers attendees the chance to discover new technologies, from lighting and flooring to water management solutions. It will also include a Green Auto Mall featuring vehicles ranging from a Class C electric school bus to Toyota's new fuel cell sedan.

Education sessions on April 7-8 will address a range of topics relating to green policy and practice, from codes and standards to water conservation, green schools, funding sources for energy projects plans and sustainable purchasing.
