WASHINGTON, April 20, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, will discuss the Committee's agenda and actions at National Press Club Newsmakers news conference on Monday, April 27 at 10 a.m. in the club's Bloomberg Room.
In addition to chairing the Judiciary Committee, Grassley serves as a senior member on the committees on Finance, Budget, Agriculture and Joint Tax. He is Chair of the Caucus on International Narcotics Control and Co-chair of the Caucus on Foster Youth. He is also the founding member of the Senate Whistleblower Protection Caucus, formed this Congress.
Senator Grassley has pressed for Whistleblower protection, judicial nominations, teen imprisonment alternatives, courtroom cameras, anti-trust, drug control, seniors' rights, human trafficking protections, oversight of government fraud and abuse, and encouragement of American agriculture, among other issues.
