Semarchy CEO Salah Kamel Awarded 2016 DAMA International Excellence in Data Management

ATLANTA, April 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterprise Data World -- Semarchy, the Intelligent Master Data Management (MDM) Company, today announced that DAMA International is presenting Salah Kamel, its CEO and founder, with the 2016 DAMA International Excellence in Data Management Award. The annual award recognizes organizations or individuals who have made significant contributions to data management principles.

Kamel is responsible for developing several cutting-edge technologies including foundational work suggesting the move to ELT (Extract-Load-Transform) from Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) architecture, relying on the faster and more efficient capabilities of massively parallel processing in database technology. He then went on to invent a Semantic Query Language based on SQL, called SemQL; this unique technology is leveraged today across the globe in the Semarchy MDM platform. As an industry leader, he regularly speaks at conferences on the current and future states of data management technologies and methodologies.
