Selling Your Stuff Online Gets Even Easier With Mercari Pack And Ship
PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Mercari -- the popular app for selling your stuff online -- today introduced Mercari Pack and Ship, the latest addition to their suite of shipping options. Mercari Pack and Ship makes selling even easier by adding the option of professional packing and shipping. Now, sellers of items that are fragile, bulky or intricate can simply take their sold item to one of more than 4,700 The UPS Store® locations in the U.S., show a barcode and leave the rest to The UPS Store Certified Packing Experts®.
"Mercari has a single, ambitious focus: to make selling easier than buying," said John Lagerling, Mercari U.S. CEO. "A big part of selling is shipping. Our prepaid shipping labels have made shipping easier for everyone — even first-time sellers. Now with the option of expert packing in more than 4,700 independently owned and operated The UPS Store locations in the U.S., we expect more Americans will give selling on Mercari a try."
Mercari Pack and Ship is a great alternative for certain items or seller preferences. Some items are big and bulky: they don't fit in a standard-sized box (like a guitar, stroller or car seat). Some items are fragile or intricate: they may require extra effort or skill in packaging (like ceramics or a video game console). There are also sellers who don't have access to a printer, or just want someone to take packing and shipping off their hands and get it done right. And with four out of five Americans living within a ten-minute drive of a The UPS Store location, packing and shipping expertise is more convenient than ever for Mercari sellers.
With Mercari Pack and Ship, The UPS Store Certified Packing Experts will print your label, package your item and ship it for you -- just drop it off and go. As with any other Mercari transaction, there are no meetups between buyers and sellers.
For items weighing up to 10 pounds, shipped anywhere in the U.S., Mercari sellers will pay Mercari a flat $20 fee for Mercari Pack and Ship. Prices increase with item weight up to a maximum of $160 for items weighing up to 150 pounds. Regardless of package weight, items are expected to arrive to the buyer within five business days.
