Selective Insurance Group Announces Officer Appointments

BRANCHVILLE, N.J., Feb. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Selective Insurance Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SIGI), announced the following appointments by its subsidiary, Selective Insurance Company of America.

Shadi Albert (Bath, PA) to vice president, Commercial Lines Underwriting. Mr. Albert joined Selective in April 2013 as assistant vice president, Reinsurance. Prior to that, he served as assistant vice president at Towers Watson. Mr. Albert earned a B.A. in Finance and Risk Management from Temple University Fox School of Business in Philadelphia, PA and an MBA in Finance from Saint Joseph's University Haub School of Business in Philadelphia, PA. He holds designations as a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, an Associate in Reinsurance and an Associate in Risk Management.

John Anthony (Scottsdale, AZ) to vice president, regional manager. Mr. Anthony joined Selective in January 2012 as an underwriting manager. His prior experience was as an underwriter with Wellington Specialty Insurance Company. Mr. Anthony earned a B.S. in Psychology from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. He is a member of the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices, Ltd. and the American Association of Managing Agents.

Nicholas Godellas (Mundelein, IL) to assistant vice president, Workers Compensation. Mr. Godellas joined Selective in January 2015 after serving as assistant vice president, strategic partnerships at Paladin Managed Care Services. Mr. Godellas earned a B.A. in Geography from the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL and holds an Associate in Claims designation from The Institutes.
