Selective Insurance Group Announces Officer Appointments
BRANCHVILLE, N.J., Feb. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Selective Insurance Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SIGI) announced the following appointments by its subsidiary, Selective Insurance Company of America:
Vincent J. DiSimone (Middletown, NY) to assistant vice president, Claims manager for Selective's Northeast Region. Mr. DiSimone joined Selective in 2004 as a claims management specialist and was promoted to field claim supervisor in 2006. Prior to that, he was a claims specialist with Kemper Insurance Company. Mr. DiSimone earned his senior claim law associate certification from the American Education Institute and holds several insurance licenses in New York and Connecticut.
Scott D. Hullinger (Fishers, IN) to assistant vice president, Safety Operations manager for Selective's Heartland Region. Mr. Hullinger joined Selective in 2006 as a safety management specialist before being promoted to Safety Operations manager in 2007. Prior to that, he was a senior consultant and loss prevention consultant with Liberty Mutual Group and Wausau Insurance Companies. Mr. Hullinger earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Dayton in Dayton, OH. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, Central Indiana Chapter.
Kim D. Leggette (Katy, TX) to vice president, Claims Auto/Property Line of Business and Field Operations. Mr. Leggette joined Selective in November 2010. Prior to that, he was claims field product line lead for Travelers Insurance. Mr. Leggette earned his B.A. in Business, Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA.
William J. O'Brien (Chester Springs, PA) to vice president, Claims Liability Line of Business. Mr. O'Brien joined Selective in December 2010. Prior to that, he was a manager in the Risk Management and Claims Advisory Services Practice for Ernst & Young LLC. Mr. O'Brien earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice from Alvernia University in Reading, PA.
Dana D. Shutters (Sparta, NJ) to assistant vice president, Quality Assurance. Mr. Shutters joined Selective in November 2010. Prior to that, he was vice president, Resolution Services with CUNA Mutual Insurance Society. Mr. Shutters attended Queens College in Charlotte, NC and holds designations as a Chartered Insurance Operations Professional, a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional and a Credit Union Development Educator. Additionally, he earned certifications in Six Sigma and the Insurance Institute of America.
