Select Medical Holdings Corporation Announces the Appointment of a New Senior Vice President, Chief Quality Officer for its Long Term Acute Care Hospital Division
MECHANICSBURG, Pa., July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Select Medical Holdings Corporation (NYSE: SEM), the parent of Select Medical Corporation, today announced that Lisa Snyder, M.D., MPH, has joined Select Medical Corporation as Senior Vice President, Chief Quality Officer of its Long Term Acute Care Hospital ("LTAC") Division. In this newly created position, Dr. Snyder will work with the LTAC Division's Clinical Outcomes and Quality Department to make sure that the highest standards of quality care continue to be maintained at Select's 89 LTACs around the country.
As Chief Quality Officer, Dr. Snyder will work closely with the medical and clinical leadership in Select's LTAC Division to promote clinical excellence and patient safety. She will oversee reporting protocols and outcomes management. Dr. Snyder will also provide quality reports to Select's board of directors.

Most recently, Dr. Snyder served as Chief of Aerospace Medicine for the United States Air National Guard. In that role, she set the standards of care for the nation's 106,000 Guardsmen. At the same time, Dr. Snyder was an emergency medicine staff physician at Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C., and an assistant professor in emergency medicine and toxicology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Snyder received several awards, including the 2009-2010 Air Force Association Superior Performance Award. Dr. Snyder is board-certified in emergency medicine and aerospace medicine, and is a member of the American College of Medical Toxicology and the American College of Emergency Physicians. She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and a master's degree in public health (MPH) from Indiana University.
